International Museum

The Accordion Museum, currently the most visited of the lesser museums in the Marches, is set up in the XVIII century halls of Palazzo Comunale. The exhibithion illustrates the production of accordions, a real economic motor, involving generation of craftsmen. The criterion followed in setting up the exhibition satisfies both educational needs, thanks to the photographs from the period 1890-1970 and the exhibition of over 350 pieces, and curiosity about the personage who were involved in the world of accordions. Going through the halls, you can discover the evolution and the classification of this existed chromatic and piano accordions -, its workings by means of a refined mechanical device and the variety of material used to make it: maple, mahogany, steel, brass, and even cashmere and kid skin. The copy of a workshop from the 1930 and the collection of stamps dedicated to this instrument.
