A group of 44 accordionists from Belgium to visit the birthplace of the accordion will perform in concert Thursday 8th July at 21.00 in Piazza della Repubblica, conducted by M° Ludo Marien.
Ludo Marien has been – and still is – the main instructor at the Royal Flemish Academy of Music in Antwerp for 15 years now. During this time he has become an indispensable figure on the accordion music scene, lifting this splendid instrument to an extremely high artistic level.
Ludo Marien has given concerts in several countries including the Netherlands, France, England, Andorra, Germany, Poland, Italy, Australia, Russia, Spain, Norway, South Korea, USA and Greece.
Besides being a great artist, Ludo Marien devotes much of his time to promoting the accordion organizing annual holiday "theme accordion" for adults and children.
