The artistic director presents the program 2010.
The Accordion Competition was founded in 1976 and became international in 1987.
Today the Prize and Award draws in the city of Castelfidardo about 500 competitors and many music fans both Italian and foreign. As Artistic Director I have always wished that our competition was experienced by participants as an opportunity for enrichment and not confrontation. Know other musicians, learn about other directories, check out other styles, they should be the guidelines for leading competitors in Castelfidardo. To offer even more, for years now, the competition is located at the Festival.

The International Prize and Award of Accordion also brought star of the world of entertainment and song as: Milva, Antonella Ruggiero, Piccola Orchestra Avion Travel, Vinicio Capossela, Pierangelo Bertoli, La Cruz, Demo Morselli and his Big Band, Farias, Roberto Vecchioni, Roberto Pregadio, Tullio De Piscopo, Moni Ovadia, Samuele Bersani, Angelo Branduardi, Lisa Doby, Gang, Franco De Gemini, Gianmaria Testa, Edda dell'Orso, Anna Maria Castelli.
This year the 35th edition will make even stronger ties that we are among the Prize, Competition and Festival confirming Castelfidardo "Mecca" of the accordion world. Many events, many opportunities to make music and to meet the music, a week really intense that is based on the desire of the Municipal Administration to enhance our city with the invaluable collaboration of the Ideazione Eventi, Pro-Loco and sponsors.
Thanking the entire organization, I finally give everyone the warmest welcome in this place of meeting and discussion of accordionists and music lovers more generally: my hope is that everyone can leave from Castelfidardo with a passion even more enhanced for "our" accordion.
