international award
The “Voce d’Oro” International Award originated within the framework of the “City of Castelfidardo” Award in 1987. It is currently sponsored by CAGNONI & C. S.p.a. “Quality Reeds”, which has been producing reeds for fifty years and is recognized the world over for the high quality of its accordion reeds. This award is given to those who have given prominence to the accordion in the world of modern music through performance, composition, organization of events, promotion and television or newspaper coverage. It is not by chance that the award takes its name from that small part of the accordion called the reed. In fact, the reed is without doubt the most important part of the instrument and the source of its sound and expression. In light of the important role the reed has for the accordion, the CAGNONI company has skilfully combined creative crafftsmanship with technological research in order to offer even the most demanding professionals a reed without equal.
